Why Credit hire vehicle costs more than the equivalent vehicle for daily, weekly or monthly rent on cash?

Because credit hire companies bear the risk of losing the case or in between settlements and/or get the money at the end of the credit hire period which may take months or years to recover their cost. But, cash hire companies charge the customer on daily, weekly or monthly basis without any risk of losing anything.

What question should I ask from the credit hire providers before taking a credit hire car?

You must ask the following question before taking a credit hire vehicle; do I have to pay the hire charges or in what circumstances I will be liable? Most of the credit hire companies will bear the risk of covering the total cost from third party insurance company but some may have some conservations which should be decided before mutual agreement. However, in case you were deceiving consciously and taking a credit hire car knowingly that it was your own fault and the third party is innocent or you may stop cooperating later on at any stage deliberately then credit hire company will charge you all the invoices at the end. You must try your best to help credit hire company to recover their cost by considering that they were there to help you when you were in need.

When should I get a credit hire vehicle?

If you have been involved in a road traffic accident and want a replacement vehicle then you must be sure for the following;
1. It was not your fault.
2. Your own vehicle is legally unroadworthy.
3. You do not have any other vehicle to use.
4. You cannot afford to get your vehicle repaired
If all the above conditions are true then you can get a credit hire vehicle to continue your routine work.

What is the difference between credit hire vehicle and courtesy car?

Credit hire is when you’re given a replacement car, but no money changes hands until the hire is over. If you weren’t at fault for an accident, your insurer may offer you a credit hire car, and plan to claim the costs back from a third-party insurer.

Courtesy Car
If your own vehicle is in garage for repair as damaged because of a road traffic accident, you may require a vehicle meanwhile to continue your work. You will contact a credit hire to provide you a courtesy car which you will use till your own vehicle is repaired and ready to use. Sometime garages do have facility of a courtesy car to facilitate their customers. In other case, you get it from a credit hire company.

How can I make a complaint?

What should I do if I don’t have enough storage space to store my damaged car?

We have a highly secured and well-organized vehicle storage. So in case you need a storage to keep your damaged car, let us know and we will make arrangements for your vehicle storage in our well-protected storage that is monitored 24/7 with CCTV cameras.

How would I know about the progress of my claim?

Our highly specialized claim handlers will keep on updating you through SMS/email throughout the claim and/or via Calls in case of emergency.

What if I want to change the replacement vehicle?

Yes, you can change the courtesy car/credit hire car with any other like to like vehicle from our offices.

What if I want to go abroad while using a hire vehicle?

You will be requested to return the vehicle to mitigate the losses and shall be offered again once you are back to the country.

What type of vehicle will I receive as a courtesy car/credit hire car?

We have a variety of hire vehicles whether PCO and non PCO. Most of the times, we provide a like to like vehicle as a replacement e.g. if you have a small vehicle we will offer the same or even if you have a prestige car, you will be given a prestige car and so on.

How does Marigold Services Ltd cover its costs?

Marigold Services Ltd is a specialized Accident Management company with the ability to process claims and send the bill to the insurance company of the driver at-fault on your behalf.

Who will pay a penalty charge notice if Marigold Services Ltd. or I receive a legal PCN (Process Change Notice) while driving your car?

We will check the date of contravention. If this date falls in the period of rental agreement with yourself then you will be asked to pay such penalty charge notice before due date from your own pocket. If this date does not fall in the period of rental agreement then you will not pay for those penalty charge notices.

Marigold services recovers all the hire charges from the at-fault party’s insurance company and you may not need to pay any charges. But we do need your help to process the claim.

How much time does it take to receive a replacement vehicle?

If your vehicle is un-roadworthy (off the road) and if you have completed all the paperwork, we can provide a replacement car to you in the same working day or in case of any long distance issue we may deliver the vehicle within 24 hours.

Who will process my claim?

Our in-house teams of specialized claim handlers will process your case.

Why so much paperwork in the claim process?

The reason is that every insurance company requires the relevant information or documents to make sure your claim is valid and find out all the aspects of claim e.g. is you really need a credit hire car or you have an alternate, impecuniosity or your legal capability to drive an insured car etc., and then process your claim accordingly.

What documents need to be filled up for car replacement?

For replacement car, the hire agreement & delivery/collection short term rental agreement, storage agreement (if provided), and statement of truth for impecuniosity. Further you will be requested to provide driving and vehicle’s documents along with any other document if asked by the third party insurance company.
